DELI MANAGER - EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

We are currently seeking a Deli Manager to join our growing team!

Job description: 7am-3pm

In this position you will be focused on the managing a fully operating deli and staff. 

Everyone on our team works together! You will be responsible for serving customers and providing excellent customer service.

Tasks:

-       Oversees employees in a variety of tasks including cooking, serving, packaging and counter management.

-       Manage the day-to-day activities of employees to improve sales performance.

-       Communicate politely with customers and employees while addressing any arising concerns.

-       Scheduled and assigned daily employee tasks.

-       Support staff interviews, employment and education.

-       Provides training to employees for company policy guidelines. 

-       Ensure that employees comply with company policies and store rules.

-       Make sure the product price and date are displayed correctly.

-       Operates all food processing machinery and equipment

-       Receive, unload, and store groceries

-       Ensure that facilities are properly maintained clean and safe

The successful candidate must:

-       Have valid experience in the industry

-       Be available to work weekdays, weekends and holidays

-       Have ability to multitask and seamlessly switch tasks

-       Speak/write fluent english (Italian speaking an asset)

-       Be self directed and able to manage staff in absence of owner

-       Food handlers certificate is an asset

Physical requirements:

-       Constant standing, walking and bending

-       Occasional lifting

-       Constant receiving information through verbal communication with staff and customers
