Our bakery is the foundation of our business and produces only the finest quality of breads and baked goods. This is due to our exceptional team of dedicated professionals. Our team has benefited from the experience and guidance of Dino Mancini and both of his loving parents, Carmen and Concentina. Together they have formed the bedrock of our traditional Italian bakery and possess over 60 years of experience within the culinary and hospitality industry.
Concentina and the late Carmen Mancini are both from the Castelli region of Italy. In Italy, they farmed the land and dreamed of coming to Canada. Carmen always fantasized of opening a bakery, but when he first arrived in Canada he helped to establish the local Hamilton business, ‘Carmen’s’. However, feeling unsatisfied, Carmen decided to start a new adventure and open up a traditional bakery with Concentina and their three children: Pat, Dino, and Lidio. This was the birth of ‘Sweet Paradise’.
CARMEN,
…….. was renowned for his ‘Calabrese’ bread and his love for beekeeping. Dino attended George Brown College in Toronto to become a certified baking chef. In Toronto, Dino learned from experienced professionals from around the globe and has spent the past 30 years mastering the art of baking. Sweet Paradise has benefited from a long line of family recipes and the complete dedication of the Mancini Family. We look forward to sharing our love of baking with you!
Sweet Paradise has been in the business of producing the finest of bread for over thirty years. "Carmen Mancini" the founder with over 60 years of baking experience has passed on his knowledge to his sons and grandchildren. Our bread is baked fresh daily from scratch using only the highest quality ingredients. We are famous for our ‘hearth-baked’ style of baking and original family recipes. We stay true to our home style baking using no preservatives or additives. As we serve our table we serve yours.
In addition to our scratch bread baking we also carry a large assortment of baked goods….meat pies, quiche, assorted pies , the list is endless. We also carry large assortment of donuts which are known to be the best in the city specifically our Apple Fritters, are out of this world.
